Now that coronavirus lockdown restrictions are starting to be eased, most of the U.K. population want to know “When Can I Go On Holiday”
Due to Covid 19 restrictions on travel have been put in place. These restrictions vary from Country to Country and rules for entry into each Country, are decided by the Government of that Country.
The other consideration is U.K. Government regulations for travel abroad. The current advice at the time of publishing this post is “the FCO advises British nationals against all but essential international travel”.
When Can I Go On Holiday To Portugal
Mainland Portugal welcomes visitors from the U.K. by air NOW, and is not imposing any Quarantine period.
Until 1 July, when arriving in Madeira, you’ll need to provide a negative coronavirus test or quarantine for 14 days.
In the Azores, you must either provide a negative test or take a test on arrival and quarantine for 48 hours awaiting the result.
According to their website, EasyJet are operating flights from 16th June 2020, from U.K. airports to Portugal.

Coronavirus 14 day Quarantine Period
The UK Government plans to introduce new current regulations from 8th June 2020 regarding people arriving into the Britain from abroad.
You will be required to Self Isolate for 14 days on return from your holiday abroad.
Currently UK Tourist Organisations, Airlines and Travel Companies are asking the Government to cancel plans for introducing the Self Isolate for 14 days rule, on entry into the Country.
